Hop scotch words!

Yes we did the hop scotch activity. We choose the most interesting and tricky words from the story and turned it into a game. As they landed on each square they had to say the word. I don't think they will forget them now! This was also a very fun follow up activity.

The Whenua teams Lanyards

This is something new we started in term 3. I was a visual aide used to help the students remember their new literacy timetable. It's also been a great place to put things such as their passwords and learning goals etc.

I have started reflecting on how useful the whiteboard tables have been. So I thought I would add a picture! This was our group listing key words from the story and talking about the key message.

Hopscotch words

Next week during Reading we are going to be looking at key words from the text. So after looking on Pinterest I have found a fun activity to incorporate this for next week!
